7/5/10: Tyler Seguin

(images found on Google)
He was the number two draft pick of the 2010 NHL entry draft, and yesterday was the fourth of July.

Name: Tyler Seguin
DOB: January 31, 1992
Current NHL Team: prospect for Boston Bruins

Even though he is a proud Canadian, Tyler shows up at your front door without telling you he was coming. Today is the 4th of July, and it's pretty obvious that he spent at least $50 on fireworks at those stands in front of grocery stores. Thank God you're not busy tonight; you, Tyler, and the 10 lb. bag of legal explosives drive down to the local park, where the parking lot is completely roped off for people to set off millions of sparkling, dazzling fireworks.
After hopping out of the silver SUV, you and "Ty" pull up two plastic chairs just inside the roped off area. It's about 8:30 now, so there is still time to wait before it's dark enough to light the fireworks. As time wears by, you get the feeling that more and more people had the same idea. People keep flooding in from all directions with huge bags of roman candles and sparklers. Few words are spoken, but Ty tightly holds your hand the whole time.
You can't help but squeal in excitement when Ty looks around at the dark sky then voluntarily stands up to light the first firework of the night. Before he does that, though, he and about a dozen other people pass out lit sparklers to everybody in the crowd. As everyone patriotically recites the national anthem, Ty proudly marches to the middle of the parking lot and lights a large rectangular box on fire. He jogs back to you, and you two watch excitedly as sparks shoot everywhere. Ty turns to smile at you, and before you know it you're safely in his arms as you stare almost blankly into the open space that lies before you, where a thousand colors dance into the sky.

So? What do you think? Personally, I wouldn't ever want to let go of this boy. Except maybe to explode a few fireworks and all that :)
